MLC currently offers two programs: The Degree Seeking Program and the Certification Program. Both programs include education and provide an opportunity for you to receive as much as 500 hours of hands-on experience. Both tracks also equip you with the knowledge and qualifications to become a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God if desired.
degree seeking program
With regional accreditation, Southeastern University is well established, and we are proud to be partnering with them to offer you a great way to discover your divine purpose. Southeastern at Evangel is able to offer various online degree options for you to pursue. These degrees are coupled with practicum credits that go toward your ultimate graduation requirements and allow you to get hands-on leadership experience in your chosen track. You will participate in online classes in pursuit of your chosen degree while being a part of a cohort of students who are also pursuing degrees from Southeastern at Evangel.
Southeastern University offers MLC students a significant discount for the same accredited degree that you would get onsite. The degree seeking track truly allows you go beyond the standard classroom context to actually experience what you are learning.

This program partners with Global University’s Berean School of the Bible. You will learn foundations of the faith through courses like, “Christ in the Synoptic Gospels” and “Relationships and Ethics in Ministry”, among many others. This program doesn’t lead to formal college credits, but it does prepare you for leadership roles in the church and provides you the requirements to be certified as a minister under the Assemblies of God.

experience tracks
Evangel knows the importance of raising up the next generation of kids to love Jesus. eKids is a lively track that lets you learn how to foster an environment for kids to develop into fully devoted followers of Christ. Within eKids, you will learn the back end of what it takes to make that happen including eKids curriculum, production, operations, team building, and planning for events. If you have a heart for kids and love to see them experience Jesus in an authentic way, this track might be the right fit for you.
Youth is a group of students and leaders who are passionate about encountering Jesus. They share life in Connect Groups, hang out, have fun, and lead by serving others. The Youth Track gives you experience mentoring and leading teens, preaching, executing events, taking part in team building, and other skills that are essential to leading a fruitful youth ministry. This track is great for those who desire to see teens come to know Jesus and be part of their journey.
Evangel values an authentic, powerful, and well-executed worship experience. In this track, you will learn how to lead an experience that brings people closer to Jesus and allows them to encounter God’s presence. The areas of focus would include learning audio mixing, creating setlists, organizing teams and team nights, vocal/leading coaching, and more. Students who are gifted musically and love to see people meet God in worship do well in this track.
This is an exciting track for individuals who are gifted with creativity and have a passion to portray it to the world. During your time in MLC’s Creative Track, you will have the opportunity to learn graphic design, video production, social media management, web design, photography, environment design, service-flow and more.
The Discipleship Track will give you a chance to discover what goes into facilitating baptisms, Alpha, Discover, Connect Groups, and Welcome Teams. You will have the opportunity to lead in these areas while also being part of Young Adult, Men’s, and Women’s events. Students that enjoy discipling other followers of Christ into full maturity and facilitating community often thrive in this track.
Community life is essential to the health of Evangel. It consists of two ministries: Care and Reach. In this track you will focus on local and global outreach, life courses, Connect Groups and helping people navigate through different seasons of life. Typically, students who choose this track have a heart to see individuals overcome adversity and love to see those far from God come to faith in Jesus.
