MLC FAQ

Is MLC’s Degree-Seeking Program accredited?

Yes, we are proud to be partnering with Southeastern University to offer various online degree options for you to pursue. These degrees are coupled with practicum credits that go toward the student's ultimate graduation requirements and allow hands-on leadership experience in the chosen track.

What does the application process look like?

Each candidate will start the process by filling out this application. Once the application process is complete, the MLC team will contact the student to set up an interview.

When can I apply?

MLC offers rolling admission for every program and is broken into typical college semesters that allow applications at any time!

Do I get to focus on a certain ministry track?

Each student should select their top two most desired ministry tracks during the application process. Through the onboarding process, the right fit for the student will be identified. That track will become the student’s focus.

Is financial aid or student loans available for MLC students?

Because Southeastern University is a regionally accredited institution, its partnership with MLC enables students who are enrolled in the degree-seeking program to apply for federal financial aid. In order to be eligible, students must apply for Federal Student Aid also known as FAFSA and maintain 12 credit hours each semester. Additionally, each student who is accepted into MLC automatically is granted the Legacy Makers Scholarship from Evangel totaling $5,000 a year.
Currently, MLC does not offer student loans or financial aid for the certified minister track.

Do credits from other institutions transfer to Southeastern University?

Yes! Southeastern, being an accredited institution, works with the student to effectively transfer any existing college credits that are applicable to the degree the student is seeking. MLC has an academic advisor assigned to the partner site that will work with the student to ensure these credits are transferred.

Is housing available?

Although dorms are not provided through MLC, many students choose to room with another MLC student while participating in the program. For affordable housing, Evangel has a contact list of attendees of the church who would love to house an MLC student as long as they have availability.
